You’ve taken the training, maybe even hired a coach, and run a few (or many) sprints. So, where are you going? The Agile Manifesto emphasizes the importance of continuous improvement. Does it also give us clear guidance as to the direction of improvement? Yes, it does. Despite being non-prescriptive in practices, the Agile Manifesto is quite clear in proficiencies. You might even argue that big “A” agile is defined by these proficiencies. If your team hasn’t yet attained these proficiencies, can you legitimately claim “Agility”? So what are these proficiencies? Let’s take a look at what the Agile Manifesto says and how these proficiencies might inform your Agile journey.
